Joke ..... or is it?

George W Bush goes to a primary school to talk about the war. After his talk he invites questions. One little boy puts up his hand, and the President asks him his name.

"Billy!"

"And what is your question, Billy?"

"I have three questions," says the boy. "First - why did the USA invade Iraq without the support of the UN?; Second - why are you President when Al Gore got more votes?; and Third - whatever happened to Osama bin Laden?"

Just then the bell rings for recess. George W Bush informs the children that they will continue after recess. When they resume, the President says: "Okay where were we? Oh that's right, question time. Who has a question?"

A different little boy puts his hand, George points him out and asks his name.

"Steve!"

"And what is your question, Steve?"

"I have five questions: First - why did the USA invade Iraq without the support of the UN?; Second - why are you President when Al Gore got more votes?; Third - whatever happened to Osama bin Laden?; Fourth - why did the recess bell go 20 minutes early?; and Fifth - what happened to Billy?"

Calyspo Weather

There's nothing like a warm spring day to get the Calypso blood flowing through New England veins. Right now I have Byron Lee blasting. It keeps me bouncing and dancing around while I do house work. Later I'll listen to some Belafonte and Marley. The music alone is enough to get me longing for a white beach with turquoise water. Bring on the sunshine and margarita's!

HAPPY EASTER

I know it's been awhile since I've written but there really hasn't been much to write. Work has been busy, which is good most of the time. I can do without the last minute "this must be done today" drama and overtime. There seems to be alot of last minute work.

Update on the kitties: My allergies decided the kitties can not stay here. Of course, now I need to make the kitties realize that! They continue to run into the house and straight to the food dish. I don't know if it's because they are hungry or just that I have better food but, they always have a very hearty appetite when they are here.

Yesterday I spent several hours at the hair salon. I'm not going to say what I had done to my hair except, WOW! What a difference!!! You'll just have to see it for yourself. I did pamper myself a bit while I was there and had a pedicure. The salon has a new pedicure room with full massage chairs and foot jacuzzi's. Ohhh was that soooo nice.

Today I'll be driving to my parent's house for Easter Dinner. While I love visiting with my parents, I never look forward to being around my sister. As far as I'm concerned she is continuing to use my parents to support her and raise her children. Recently she blew the engine in a car my parents bought for her about 5 years ago. She actually asked them to buy her another car! Yes, she is working. Yes, she has two children to raise. However, she was also the one that made the decision to get pregnant and raise the children. This was not a case of "oops". She wanted a baby and got pregnant on purpose.

My parents have remodeled their house, again, to make room for her children. They turned their dining room back into a bedroom. They gave up their spa, for a place to put the kids toys. It pisses me off to know my parents will never hear so much as a "thank you" from her lips. Easter is a time for mending and renewing relationships. Unfortunately, I can't find it in my heart to mend the relationship with my sister. My sister will need to do the mending, not me.

Next month I'll be heading to Maine for a weekend. One of my many cousins will be getting married on the 15th. Wedding's are a good way to visit with relatives in short period of time.

Have a Happy Easter!
