Smooth Sailing Ahead!

We made it to the NYC pier without any problems. Limo service is the ONLY way to arrive at a cruise port. Our driver dropped us in front of the door about 11:00. We were able to go through the early check-in for our cruise while they prepared the ship for our boarding. By 1:00 we had already been to our cabin and in the process of eating lunch on the Lido deck, with our drinks in hand.

The ship was late leaving the port. Refueling took longer than anticipated. The one thing we wanted to see, was the Statue of Liberty as we sailed past. Unfortuntately, we were in the dining room having dinner when we set sail.

Yesterday was veg out and napping day. We took such long naps that we napped right through the Captain's Cocktail Party and the first formal dinner night. Oh well, there is another formal night on this cruise. After I woke, I headed the lounge for the show -- it was ok. Then off to Club Merlin Casino and bar. The entertainer in the bar is Tony Ray and he plays a variety of music. It ends up being a bar sing-along and we all had a fabulous time. Unfortunately, Marsha missed the fun time because she left the cabin before I woke up and couldn't find me after. Tonight, we'll probably both hang at the same place.

That's all for now, I'll write more later in the week.
